“Concept of Self”
I look in the mirror and
“Sometimes”,
My nose is too big.
It takes up half of my face,
Sharp and pointy and ugly.
“Sometimes”,
It’s a work of art;
it’s perfect and
so am I.
i look in the mirror again.
s o m e t i m e s ,
these eyes reflect things ‘i’
don’t want to see.
sometimes chocolate fades to black:
sharp, unforgiving,
it turns into a heated glare,
a stare, but whose?
‘i’ looked into the mirror

that mouth was too small
far too petite to speak with.
several times several times
it fails to open
like a goldfish
quiet and golden.
